Grandstand Section 28

Section 28, officially Infield Grandstand 28, is down the third base side, just past third base.  It is a small triangular section with the smallest capacity of any grandstand section, only 96 seats, though in 1975 it had 110 seats.  It lies just past the edge of the original 1912 seating bowl (Sections 14-27); Sections 28 through 33 were built in 1934.

Section 28 contains no very good or superior seats; 80% of the seats have at least some view of the infield obstructed.

On the third base side, Section 28 is the closest to home plate of the discounted “Infield Grandstand” seats. Prices in the adjacent Section 27 are $1 to $6 more expensive depending on date and location.

The section contains one of Fenway’s five lone single seats: Row 3 Seat 1 is the only seat in that row.  And the section also contains one of Fenway’s nine “sweetheart pairs”: Row 4 Seats 1-2 are the only two seats in that row.

Rows 1 and 2 do not exist in this section.

Rows 3 through 10 are higher priced than rows 11 through 15.

Best seat: Row 7 Seat 1
Worst seat: Row 13 Seat 1 (behind pole 27/28)
