Grandstand Section 12

Section 12, officially Infield Grandstand 12, is down the first base side about a third of the way between first base and the Pesky Pole.  It is closest to home plate of the reduced-price “Infield Grandstand” sections (11 and 12).  Ticket prices in 2017 are on average $3 lower here than in the adjacent Section 13 (difference ranges from $1 - $6).

Sections 11 through 13 were an extension of the original 1912 seating bowl, and the seats are arranged at a slightly different angle.

Two major changes were made to Section 12.  A ramp opening was removed in the lower corner next to Section 11, in the space now used by rows 1 through 7, seats 1 through 5.  Part of the ramp is still visible below the stands.  And the aisle between 12 and 13 was moved, decreasing seating capacity here (and giving Section 13 more seats).  Capacity was 391 in 1975; it is now 305 in 17 rows.

The seats in Row 1 have long leg room.

Rows 1 through 10 are higher priced than rows 11 through 17.

Best seat: Row 1 Seat 1 (aisle)
Worst seat: Row 1 Seat 13 (behind pole 12)
