Grandstand Section 18

Section 18, officially Infield Grandstand 18, is near home plate on the first base side.  It is part of the original 1912 seating bowl.

In 2009, space to the rear of section 18 was designated an accessible row (17), with spaces for wheelchairs and companions.  There are four real permanent seats (10, 11, 14, 15), seven wheelchair spaces (1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13), and four spaces for companions in folding chairs (2, 3, 6, 7).

Capacity of this section in 1975 was 369 in 18 rows.  Currently it holds 288 seats in 15 rows.

In Row 1, at pole 18, seats 4 and 5 do not exist.  Also, Rows 15 and 16 do not exist; they were taken up by the extra space in Row 17.

Rows 1 through 10 are higher priced than rows 11 through 17.

Best seat: Row 1 Seat 1
Worst seat: Row 2 Seat 5 (right behind pole 18, and one of the three worst seats in Fenway Park)

The chart below shows which seats are obstructed (view of catcher, batter, pitcher, or anywhere in between them blocked), partially obstructed (the bases or anywhere inside the diamond blocked), almost totally unobstructed (only foul territory or a small part of the outfield blocked), or totally unobstructed (including grass in foul territory); and shows which seats have blocked views of the main centerfield videoboard.
