Grandstand Section 33

Section 33, officially Left Field Grandstand 33, is the furthest section down the left field line.  Its back wall is the brick continuation of the Green Monster in foul territory.

Grandstand sections 29 through 33 were constructed in early 1934.  From 1934 through 2015, Section 33 had no roof; seats were open to the sky.  For that reason, seats in Section 33 were plastic, not wood.  After the 2015 season, the structure was extended to support the Infiniti Suite above, and wooden seats were restored.

Section 33 contains the only literal front-row grandstand seats in Fenway Park.  Row 1 Seats 13-14 and Row 2 Seats 15-16 are situated at the wall of the playing field, not far from the Fisk Pole.  The section also contains one of Fenway’s five lone single seats: Row 15 Seat 1 is the only seat in that row.  And the section also contains one of Fenway’s nine “sweetheart pairs”: Row 14 Seats 1-2 are the only two seats in that row.

Section 33 has been shortened, as its front two rows were reclassified as Loge Box rows years ago.  Capacity was 170 in 178; it is now 143.

Section 33 along with Section 32 comprise the CVS Family Sections in which alcoholic drinks are prohibited.

Seats in Row 1 have long leg room.

Rows 1 through 10 are higher priced than rows 11 through 15.

Best seat: Row 1 Seat 14 (I consider this the best grandstand seat in Fenway Park)
Worst seat: Row 5 Seat 3 (behind pole 32-33)
